Our Mission Comes First. The Five Percent Pledge was established with a single, uncompromising goal: Inspiring and equipping the world’s wealthiest to lower their carbon footprints by 5% annually. To ensure absolute focus on that mission, we operate differently than a traditional nonprofit.

100% Founder-Funded. We do not solicit, accept, or process outside donations of any kind. The Five Percent Pledge is entirely founder-funded. All operational costs, from platform hosting to digital outreach, are covered directly by the founder.

Zero Financial Friction. In the climate space, skepticism about fundraising motives is common. By eliminating donations from our model, we remove that friction entirely. You will never receive a fundraising email from us, and you will never be asked to open your wallet. Our only objective is providing you with the unbiased data and tools needed to optimize your lifestyle efficiency.
